“This Victorian-era guest house, a short walk from the Barrow-in-Furness station and opposite Barrow Park, struck me as a budget-friendly base for exploring the region; add in perks like free Wi-Fi and a communal kitchen, and the practical advantages become clear. It's pet-friendly, and from what I gather, the hosts are particularly helpful with local tips. For those prioritizing convenience and a personal touch over luxury, this place seems a smart choice.”

a cozy stay

clean roomfresh towelsideal location
I stayed here for a work trip and the family who runs the place is so helpful. ian, his wife, and son keep the place spotlessly clean. I appreciate that. the rooms are spacious, and i found new bedding and fresh towels daily. the location is ideal with excellent wifi access.
i noticed the microwave needed some attention, as it hadn't been cleaned recently.

decent locationfaulty remoteunavailable breakfast
the location near the city centre was decent. it was certainly accessible enough, i guess.
I discovered the tv remote did not function. That was a bummer. also, the wi-fi information seemed impossible to obtain. No staff was to be present to assist. i was also unable to locate the holy grail. I mean, the complimentary breakfast.
